My name is Linnea (Nygren) Birchmeier. In 2008, I left my job as an accountant to become a writer. Since then I’ve become a pretty good housewife. While I’m enjoying that immensely, I still want to be a writer.

This year I will be writing a novel, this blog, and several other things. You’re welcome to follow along as I balance writing with the rest of my life.

Hi I was just reading through the Art of non-conformity and read the comment you left there and well it sounded alot like me. (Accountant that would rather be writing)

I was just a little curious about the logistics behind your move. (I finished University a year ago and have been working in the accounting field since)You said you got the accounting job to pay the bills, I’m assuming you still have bills so have you saved up to get you through the rougher times? or created some sort of passive income or just jumping in with both feet?

I’ve been tossing around the same idea, although I seem to get hung up on the logistics… I was just curious about how your approaching it, especially since it sounds like your probably just at the point of planning this all out or going about implementing it.

How long have you been working as an accountant?

    Well thanks and good luck.

Thanks for reading! I hope I’ll be able to offer you a worthwhile example of writing success over the next several months.

Your many questions deserve a thorough response, so look for that in an upcoming post on the main page.

Hi, interestingly enough, my name is also Linnea, and I’m also writing a novel. It’s a somewhat interesting story, actually, I found your blog during an extended period of self-loathing writer’s block, during which I Googled “Linnea writes a novel”. Your site was the first that came up. Anyway, good luck writing, Linnea.
