It’s not that I don’t respect the profession. I do- and I’m doing pretty well. The problem is that I am a writer, and would prefer to get paid for writing. I tried to go freelance straight out of college, but panicked as my bank balance dove for the red line. I quit before I started, and eventually found a job that covers my bills AND car repairs. Now that I’m comfortable, I’m looking down that road again.
I hope you’ll join me as I make the change from 9-to-5 number cruncher to independent professional writer.
